Summary0001835: User not letting install finish
DescriptionI am sure this is a debian issue but does affect omv users. Especially first time users. And becomes their first impression of omv.
Users are going threw the install and at the end click to reboot. This takes some time to complete. Some people are too impatient and force a reboot. This causes some of the scripts to not run. Causing who knows what problems. I think it is causing some of the problems with samba seen in the forums.
Steps To ReproduceForce reboot at end of install but before it does it on it's own.
Additional InformationIt seems one of the last things done is writing the install logs to disk. See the last line of /var/log/installer/syslog
Jun 18 16:43:48 finish-install: info: Running /usr/lib/finish-install.d/94save-logs

Maybe you could check if the logs were created on the first boot of omv. If not maybe popup a warning that the install did not finish properly and to wait for the machine to reboot on it's own.

I did a test vm and stopped it soon after pressing continue at the end of the install. It did not create the /var/log/install directory. I thought desums might provide a clue, but it did not compared to a normal completed install. Couple of suspicious entries but most are probably configs omv changed.

dpkg -V shows mostly the same.

Maybe add a text file saying "install completed" or something. Have it be the last thing before reboot.
