Summary0001825: Unable to setup 2nd NIC
DescriptionTried to configure my 10 GBit/s NIC on OMV 4 and got this error:

Failed to execute command 'export PATH=/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin; export LANG=C; systemctl start 'networking' 2>&1' with exit code '1': Job for networking.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status networking.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.

But in /etc/network/interfaces the NIC is correctly setted up:

auto enp40s0
allow-hotplug enp40s0
iface enp40s0 inet static
    address 192.168.0.5
    gateway 192.168.0.10
    netmask 255.255.255.0
iface enp40s0 inet6 manual
    pre-down ip -6 addr flush dev $IFACE

And also ping works fine on the 2nd NIC
Steps To ReproduceNot sure if you can reproduce it but I'm able to do it 3 out of 3 times. On OMV 3 everything worked fine.

Skaronator (reporter)

Did some more testing and got it working with this interfaces config:

auto enp40s0
allow-hotplug enp40s0
iface enp40s0 inet static
    address 192.168.0.5
    netmask 255.255.255.0
iface enp40s0 inet6 manual
    pre-down ip -6 addr flush dev $IFACE

I tried to delete those settings and try to setup via webinterface but got the same error as noted above. After copy pasting the old working config in I got the same error. No clue why. After a restart my hand made config works again.

No clue but webinterface is somehow broken.
